In response to Minnesota State Governor Tim Walz’s declaration of a peacetime state of emergency amid an outbreak of COVID-19, and in consideration of the health and safety of customers and staff. Cal Surf will be instigating some new polices starting Monday, March 16.
These new policies are meant to mitigate contact between staff and customers to keep everyone safe. First try to keep a respectful distance between yourself, the staff and other customers while shopping. Keep contact to a minimum, no high fives, hand shakes etc. If you are feeling sick, or have any friends or family that are sick, please stay home. Our web store has the majority of our inventory available on line and we highly encourage everyone to buy online with free in store pick up or have items shipped to keep crowds in the store to a minimum. We usually don't mind lurkers and enjoy people coming in to talk about the latest tricks, gossip and video parts but please be respectful and keep unnecessary lurking to a minimum. If you have the option to pay with a debit or credit card please do that, we will still accept cash as payment but prefer card payment. Our staff is doing our part by regularly washing our hands with soap and water while also cleaning any and all high contact areas frequently.
The health and well-being of our community is our top priority. The staff is connecting daily to stay apprised of the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Minnesota Department of Public Health and will continue to respond accordingly. Cal Surf is committed to doing our part to support Minnesota’s efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19.
We greatly appreciate your support and look forward to continuing to supply the twin cities with all the best skateboard and snowboard gear.
