ASR has come and gone.  Overall, the show had a good feeling considering the state of the economy and the consolidation of brands within our industry.  The companies that displayed product definitely were kept busy and it was good to catch up with friends from the past and to put names to faces with some of the new sales reps.

The mini ramp looked like a blast to skate and there was a good mix of old guys and young guns.  It was typical to see Tony Magnussen drop in followed by Adam Dyet.  Lots of skater dads and moms with 12 year olds rippin it up.  I like seeing such young kids mixin' it up...a bs boneless on one wall followed by a kick flip back tail on the next.  I had to leave before the Automatic Magazine Skateshop challenge on the street set up, but I'm sure it was a fun contest.  It is a top shop of mainly California shops with some shops that have one Top Shop events around the country.

My final night in San Diego was spent at the premier of That's it, That's All .  This video is shot entirely in HD and is the most expensive snow video ever made.  It definitely does not have the feel of a "normal" snow video, but is instead like watching an IMAX movie or Discovery channel or something like that.  If a premier comes to your town, I would definitely check it out as it should be viewed with an HD projector.  I would like to thank EB, Dave Rosenberger and Tom Holbrook for being such great hosts. 

The night ended with some idiot that was walking by the venue with  his friends posing on the red carpet and dropping his pants in the middle of the proceedings.  He refused to pull his pants up and ranted about there being no good jazz clubs in San Diego.  I don't know much about the jazz scene there, but I'm guessing that dropping your pants at some random club is not going to change their musical offerings.
